Strawberry Christine (Early Season) Pack of 12 Plants

The earliest strawberry we offer, cropping outside from the first week in June; and by protecting with cloches or growing in a tunnel you can expect to pick from mid May! The fruit is large, firm and extremely juicy and sweet. It is easy to grow too, having strong resistance to the major strawberry pests and diseases. For best yield and flavour water generously in dry spells and particularly after flowering. Supplied as bare root plants. Plant Strawberries 45cm (18") apart with 75cm (2½') between each row. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or compost. Full growing instructions included. November onward Note: At despatch time, plants will be partially dormant and some may have very little foliage. Once planted they will establish good root systems and be ready to grow away vigorously in spring.Plants supplied will be strong, open-ground runners (plants), certified under the Plant Health Propagation Scheme (PHPS).
