This ancient variety of peach, a select form of the very sweet wild peach that is common in the vineyards of the Haute Savoie is, in our opinion, the most delicious there is! Its deep, raspberry-rose skin is heavily furred, and its flesh, which is stained a deep red almost all the way to the pit, is deliciously sweet and intensely perfumed .... enjoy a slice with a squirt of lemon juice and a sprinkling of sugar!
